PROJECTS 2017-18

DEAD BOTANY

This 3 piece garment was inspired by the preservation of flowers and their study, 'Dead Botany'. All the flowers and embroidery are hand-made of fabric and sequins. The theme of the garment, 'Cabinet of Curiosities' was for the AAS exhibit of graduating fashion design students 2018.

THE TAJ JACKET

This 2 piece jacket and pant set was inspired by the Taj Mahal in India. The architectural inspiration is seen in the floral motif embroidery, done by hand. The embroidery is done using the chain stitch method and embroidery loop.  The jacket is a drop shoulder and has an oversized fit to match the magnificent structure of the monument itself. The colour palette has also been derived from the tiling of the Taj.
